Strongly linked to a scenographic conception of the composition, Alessio Serpetti, deeply inspired by the Surrealism and Symbolism poetics, from the pre-Romantic visionary painting, by the Masters of Baroque and Pre-Raphaelites, leads a personal figurative research crossing with a refined monochromatic taste, dreamlike landscapes and metaphysical suggestions, nocturnal and mysterious atmospheres full of lyricism and allegoric meanings.
His works, present in Italian and foreign public and private collections, have been object of analysis in some scientific volumes used in 2012 as didactical books by the Department of History of Modern Art at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
